The rug is attractive and heavy enough to work well as an entry way mat. Having purchase three similar mats of this brand via Amazon, the seller needs to seriously consider a simple fix for their packaging when shipping these. They are shipped rolled and in a box, which is all good. But the latex edges at the ends of this rolled mat get dinged and creased in transit. A simple fix would be to tape a cardboard sleeve over the last five inches or so of the rolled mat that would extend slightly beyond the edge of the mat. That would shield the latex from most of the dings. It would not protect against the most violent shakes of the box, but I suspect 90 percent of the damage that dings the latex edges would be avoided that way.I researched a long time for something to put under my computer chair on a wooden floor. I had originally thought to get those clear plastic-like mats made exactly for that purpose, but I don't like the looks of them and the light glares off of them. So I ordered this burgundy mat, since my apartment is decorated in burgundy. The chair still rolls on it, but not as freely as on the wooden floor, which is fine with me. I am in an upstairs apartment and my rollers on my chair were disturbing the renter below me. So this awesome mat solved two problems at once - protects the floor and is quieter for the renter under me. It is so heavy duty that I am assured it will last a long, long time. I truly am happy with this purchase.These are the absolute best floor mats we have ever had at our 3 entrances. When your feet hit them, like magnets , they grab debris from your shoes. They clean up very easily with the vacuum cleaner. They stay in place on vinyl floors, no slipping.........and they fit across the entire door entrance. Finally...count your lucky stars.....They are " MADE IN AMERICA"I purchased this Entrance Rug to replace another rug that I have struggled with for a year. This rug absorbs moisture and dirt almost immediately. Also, it is very easy to keep clean and attractive. I HIGHLY recommend it to parents and pet owners.DO NOT BUY! - I bought several of these kitchen rugs. every single one of them buckles at the long edges where they were rolled. They will not lie flat, and, in fact, are dangerous because you can catch your toe in one of the raised sides and fall. The rugs are past the 30 day return period but are unsafe because uneven along two sides of every rug.
