The MERRY HOME Water Heated is the newer version, it uses less watts, water, heats more efficiency.With the manual I have it on a smart switch, to turn it off, on, you have to heat the mattress an hour early before crawling in. We have it under another topper.When you lay on it, you pick up more heat then you think this is producing just feeling under the sheets. Just check under the weight of your pillow, so that temperature you set has to factor this in.In fact a trick is to lay the pillows lengthwise that will heat up the top of the mattress during the hour warm up as if you were in bed. This is mostly due to the extra topper, it is pretty thick.The dial could use more range spacing, it is rather compressed, so finding the temperature is somewhat a guess, is it 95, or 92?Its hard to read the temperature dial, without a flashlight.I think I would have rather gotten the lowest digital model, just for the lighted digital display.I don't think we would use the Sleep mode on that model, as it gets the bed to a predetermine setting you can't change, for an hour, then goes to what you set it at. I guess this would be nice to preheat the top of the bed and covers? But I can't image sleeping for an hour using that, under that heat until it clicked down to your setting.It is great to crawl into a warm bed, just wished it wasn't so expensive for the digital model.Yes, it works under another soft thick mattress topper. The weight of the water seems to keep it in place on the bed.We like it.This product is what I thought I need as pain relief for the entire body. Like a big hot pad. This is not what this is. Definitely, something to look for if you enjoy a warm pj's feeling without it being on you. I would say it's like sleeping with a jacket on in some spots and all of a sudden coldness in other areas of the bed. I was able to put it under my bedding sheets but you really have to make sure the machine is close by. Less than a foot maybe of space. Pro tip I would give it about an hour before you start to feel the bed get warm. Since the heat escaped so easily I COVERED the bed with pillows and stuffed animals to hold the heat. If you don't start with the heat being held it will just feel like a normal bed. I was never able to get the app to work for me at least. I did overall enjoy the experience. With a weighted blanket, you would never need a cuddle buddy again. Doesn't not get cool. 85 degrees just means no heated honestly.I got this for my kids so they can sleep together during the winter. It was better than I expected. It is very thin and you feel every water lines on your back when you lay down on it. So we put a blanket over it and its a bit better. Warm and easy to install. Perfect for winter.Good value for money. This was the cheapest water heated pad I could find and it does the job. I also like that is it thin and flexible enough to be used as a sofa cover. It has been a month of daily use and so far, no problems.Warms in minutes without overheating. Best part, no emf’s and it’s so very quiet. I just love having my bed warmed up when I jump in. No more moving a tiny heating pad around from my feet to my knees, just to defrost and relax for sleep. I warm up and it doesn’t affect my husband who runs warm.Worked as advertised.goodOn a chilly night and living with chronic pain,this was awesome! It brought instant relaxation and comfort. I loaned it to my son who also has chronic pain and may buy a second one!
